Intensive Summer English Course in Maastricht

Our intensive English language course is designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, helping you improve your spoken English and overall communication skills through practical, real-world applications. After each class, you’ll have plenty of time to explore Maastricht, making it the perfect combination of learning and leisure.
What’s Included:
- Two 120-minute lessons per day: daily 10:00-12:00 + 14:00-16:00
- Free afternoon on Wednesday to join your teacher and classmates for a fun tour of Maastricht or a scenic countryside hike, all while practising your English in informal settings.
Focus Areas:
- Boosting speaking confidence with interactive games and role plays (e.g., small talk, agreeing/disagreeing, telephone conversations).
- Expanding vocabulary with everyday expressions useful for work, study, and socialising in English.
- Developing intercultural communication skills, including how to navigate sensitive conversations in English (e.g., giving constructive feedback).
- Reviewing key grammar to ensure smooth communication in various real-life situations.
- Connecting with people from all over the world in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Admission requirements
This Intensive Summer English Course is aimed at people with a CEFR B1 - B2 level of English. If you are not sure of your level or you don't already have proof of your current level, we will send you a link to an online test when you register in order to make sure that the course fits your level.
Costs
The price for the 5-day Intensive Summer English Course is:
- UM students: € 475
- UM staff, alumni and MUMC staff: € 475
- Non-UM participants: € 605
