Stay ahead in the professionalization of societal engagement

Make your work more visible, inclusive, and impactful

Connecting your work to society fosters inclusive access to science and offers people scientific perspectives to shape their views. But not everyone has equal access. Connection Lab helps you to open up your work through dialogue or collaboration, so that society can better understand the role, complexity, and relevance of science in public life. With this support you strengthen your public profile of your contribution to societal impact.

Grow your recognition for your connection with society

Connection Lab supports you in making societal engagement part of your professional development or capacity building in your institute. With training, project guidance, and tailored help you share your work with a broader audience. Whether you're developing initiatives as an individual or on behalf of your institute, this support enhances your recognition for your valuable connection with society.

My Connection Lab Incubator experience

We asked Jesse to share his experience:

“I joined the Science Communication Incubator program to develop an online platform with students from the UM Maastricht Science Program. My goal was to engage people on vacation with the latest developments in paleontology at their destination.

The incubator program helped me define my goals and identify the necessary steps to achieve them, while thinking about bottlenecks and exploring alternative solutions. In the end, the Incubator helped transform my initial plan into a scalable strategic project, resulting in a platform for local researchers to actively share their findings with the public."
