Prof. Jaap Dronkers deceased

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that our great colleague and good friend professor Jaap Dronkers has died on March 30, 2016.

Jaap was Professor in international comparative research on educational performance and social inequality at the School for Business and Economics (Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market). He was one of the most influential Dutch sociologists, but also appeared regularly in the public debate. He has inspired many students and colleagues. We wish his wife Tonny, his children and their partners Wouter and Frederike, Judith and Peter, and his grandchildren Aurélie and Ronja much strength in the coming period.
