Why do people with cancer lose weight?
Many people with cancer lose weight unintentionally. This reduces quality of life and makes it harder to endure cancer treatments. Why does this weight loss happen?
Marit van Hooren and Niels Ruber (NUTRIM) believe the weight loss may be linked to the bowel of patients. In the lab, they create mini organs to study how tumours affects bowel function.
