@ease has a chance to win Appeltje van Oranje 2021
Maastricht University is proud that @ease is one of the candidates for an Apple of Orange this year! The theme of the Apples of Orange this year is Mental Strength. That means that this year's prizes go to projects that are committed to people who are not having an easy time mentally. Through @ease, Maastricht scientists Therese van Amelsvoort en Sophie Leijdesdorff are conducting research into how best to help young people with psychological complaints. There are only three Apples of Orange availabel. The project that received the most votes has a chance of a place in the final. A jury ultimately chooses the three winners. The prizes are presented by Queen Máxima. The three winners will receive a bronze statuette, made by Princess Beatrix, and a cash prize of 15,000 euros.
Will you help by voting for @ease?
From January 11 to January 20, everyone can vote for one of the nominated candidates for an Appeltje van Oranje. Of course we hope you help us by voting for @ease. Click here to cast your vote: stem.oranjefonds.nl/ease.
Through your vote we can ultimately support our volunteers who are there every week for the young people who need it. At @ease all young people between 12 and 25 years old can visit or chat if things are not going well. Always free, anonymously if young people want it and without a waiting list or appointment. Very important; especially in these uncertain Corona times! Many young people are struggling and deserve a listening ear.
The Oranje Fonds is building a social society, where people are there for each other and everyone can participate. That is why it mobilizes, strengthens and supports as many people and organizations as possible that ensure that no one is alone. The support consists of inspiration, advice, knowledge and money. The Fund can do this thanks to, among others, the National Postcode Lottery, the Dutch Lottery, Friends and companies. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima are the patrons of the Oranje Fonds.
