Dr. Chiara Sironi wins LNVH Distinguished Women Scientists Travel Fund

The Dutch Network of Women Professors (LNVH) announced the recipients of their annual travel fund earlier this month. Among the seven winners is Dr. Chiara Sironi of the Department of Data Science and Knowledge Engineering, who will use the funds to travel to China.

The Distinguished Women Scientists Fund is a travel grant for female postdocs who obtained their PhD in the Netherlands. The grant allows recipients to travel abroad in context of their research discipline.

Dr. Sironi is very thankful for having received the grant: “It will enable me to travel to my collaborators at the Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzen, China.” Through her visit to the research group of Dr. Jialin Liu, she will refine a funding proposal to continue her work in the field of Artificial General Intelligence.

What is Artificial General Intelligence? And what are Dr. Sironi’s plans with the LNVH Travel Fund?
