Kaidi Guo (K.)

PhD candidate at the Department of Translational Genomics (TGX), School of Research Institute for Oncology and Reproduction (GROW), Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences.

Kaidi Guo earned her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Dalian Medical University in 2018. Under the mentorship of Professor Li Li, she completed her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Guangxi Medical University in 2021, focusing on elucidating the mechanisms of cisplatin resistance in ovarian cancer through the CRISPR-Cas9 system. Her Master’s research significantly enhanced her expertise in fundamental medicine and molecular biology. In October of the same year, she began pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Translational Genomics (TGX) at Maastricht University, funded by the Chinese Scholarship Council. Her doctoral work focuses on investigating the role of nuclear receptors in valproic acid-induced hepatic steatosis.
