About

Jos is now heading the RCE Rhine-Meuse, one of 148 regions worldwide binding together the knowledge and action of industry, education, science, regional governments and societal institutions for the improvement of Education.

Thereto an international partnership of teachers developed together with industry ‘The OPEDUCA Project’, an ongoing strive to realize future relevant learning. We think and act in ongoing learning processes that re-base ‘school’ (from primary to higher education) towards continuous learning on future relevant themes in direct cooperation with private industry and other partners in knowledge in the community and beyond. Most excellent sources of knowledge and experience come from the fields of work and science, enabling youngsters to learn Anytime, Any Place, through Any Device, with Anybody.

Bound together in ‘The OPEDUCA Project’ the initiative is ground breaking in its whole system approach that combines education in technology, language, math, sustainability, skill- and competence development, internationalization and entrepreneurship. Through the community-based aspect and the creation of Open Educational Resources we try to contribute to a more sustainable development, local as well as global. Making education accessible to all and actively involving every youngster in learning; for us, inclusiveness is leaving no child behind and welcoming each and every one in a local-to-global learning space where they can grow to be tomorrows’ citizens, for the future they own already.
