First Generation Student

Welcome to UM! You are a so called 'first generation student' if neither of your parents or legal guardians attended university. We know that when you are the first person in your family to go to university, this can seem like a daunting and overwhelming step. UM is committed to supporting you during your time as a student here. You have demonstrated resilience, courage and determination in reaching university, and these traits will help you to successfully complete your study programme.

On this page we list some of the resources available to you at UM.
