Workshop: Engaging students through effective group dynamics - a two-part series (session 1)

During two separate sessions, we will use an experience-based learning approach to engage in group dynamic processes that are also common in the classroom during PBL sessions and other forms of learning in small groups. 

The first session on 23 September will take place outside, so make sure to wear clothes and shoes that go with the weather. 

During the second session on 7 October, we will play around with similar techniques in the classroom.

Cooperation, communication, annoyance, initiative, decision making, frustration, success and fun: you will experience it all yourself!

This activity may count towards your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) if relevant to your situation.

About the trainer
Arie van der Lugt is a self-described “teaching animal” from the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN), Maastricht University. Over the last two decades, he has played a central role in teaching, teaching innovation and teaching management in the Psychology bachelor and master’s programs. His main educational interests are in enhancing creative, cooperative and critical thinking skills in the context of Higher Education.
