Workshop on Effective Altruism: What is Your Career in Sustainability?
Your career is your biggest opportunity to make a positive impact on the world! You will spend about 80.000 hours on your career, that's almost half of your adult waking hours. It makes your career your greatest opportunity to positively impact the world. We at Effective Altruism Maastricht want to help you pursue a high-impact career by assisting you in gaining the necessary knowledge, skills, and network.
Learning more about the concepts of Effective Altruism can be a great place to start. Many of these ideas can help you understand how to effectively address the global issues we face today. By understanding the fundamentals of EA-reasoning, you will improve your ability to make better decisions for yourself about where to direct your time and resources to do the most good.
This is where our introductory EA fellowship comes in!
Over the course of four weeks, you will have the opportunity to further explore EA ideas in a small group of people. In this fellowship, you will not only meet like-minded people, but you will also learn a lot about yourself, what is important to you, and how to best invest in your skills.
If you want to learn more about Effective Altruism, how to get involved in our student association, or sign up for the next round of fellowships, we hope to see you at our session on April 21st!
