CPD: Annual meeting for UM programme directors & coordinators
Programme coordination at UM: Challenges, successes & the road ahead
Tuesday 16 September, 15:00-17:00 + borrel from 17:00 onwards
As a programme director at UM, you juggle a diverse and demanding set of responsibilities: coordinating teaching teams, navigating shifting policies, ensuring programme quality, managing limited resources and more. This interactive session is designed to bring programme directors together to reflect, connect and explore the future of UM education.
We will start by hearing from Thomas Cleij, Dean of FSE, who will open the session with a few words on the challenges and changes that lie ahead and later, we’ll rotate through a series of roundtable discussions, where you’ll explore themes such as:
- AI in education
- “Meaningful” assessment
- The smarter academic year
Successful programme coordination
We’ll wrap up by gathering key takeaways before heading into an informal borrel to continue the conversation.
This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow programme directors, learn from each other and exchange ideas.
Target group
This session is open to all UM programme directors or coordinators and is free to attend. While specifically designed for programme leaders, others closely involved in programme coordination may also find it useful, please feel free to get in touch if you’re unsure whether it’s a fit.
Although this session is free to attend, please be mindful that significant time and resources have gone into organising it. If you register but cannot attend, we kindly ask that you give us at least 5 days’ notice so we can offer your spot to another interested participant. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in your department being charged the full cost price.
Preparation
Ahead of the session, please take a minute to complete our short poll on the biggest challenge you currently face as a programme director. Your input will directly shape the session content and roundtable themes: Please click here to complete our poll
