Dr Elsje Fourie, Associate Professor of Globalisation and Development (E.E.)

I currently coordinate and tutor in the following courses:

  • Theories and Histories of Globalisation and Development (GDS4000)
  • The skills component of Europe and the global South (EUS4020)
  • One Global Culture or Many? (on the MaRBLE excellence programme).

I supervise MA and BA students from a range of FASoS programmes. I also currently supervise two PhD dissertations.

I am a longstanding member of the FASoS Board of Examiners.

I provide guest lectures for several different teaching programmes across the Faculty.

In the past, I served as member of the 'Europe and a Globalising World" Programme Committee as well as the Programme Committee of the BSc in Global Studies. I co-developed the thematic component of the latter programme's first semester.
