Promotion Fund subsidy - standard annual fixed subsidy for student organisations
There are two subsidy regulations for student organisations of the UM: standard budget subsidy and Promotion Fund subsidy.
1. Organisations with at least 50 members that satisfy all of the requirements are eligible for a standard budget subsidy.
2. Starting organisations that do not yet satisfy the requirements and organisations who want to organise a special activity can apply for a promotion fund subsidy.

Standard budget subsidy: for organisations with at least 50 members
The budget subsidy is a structural subsidy for student organisations with at least 50 student members, 35 of which are UM students. In most cases, the size of the subsidy depends on:
the number of student members of an association or the number of students involved in the activities of an organisation
what the subsidy will be used for
the own financial resources
The subsidy is awarded per calendar year.
A student organisation can possibly receive a budget subsidy if:
it has at least 50 student members of which 35 are UM students
exists for at least two years
it is a fully recognised legal entity
it is open to all university and university of applied sciences students in Maastricht
it actively contributes to a positive student life in Maastricht
it provides guarantees for a good membership and financial administration
it provides assurances for continuity
it requests a realistic contribution from its members
it has an annual programme with at least two open activities (activities that are open to all students )
has insufficient financial reserves
does not hold any activities that bring the good name of UM, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and Maastricht as a student city into disrepute
