Research
The research at the department of Data Analytics and Digitalisation (DAD) is broad and multidisciplinary, reflecting our mission to connect data science with business and economics research. Our research ranges from theoretical studies in mathematics and statistics to applied projects with partners (for example in healthcare, finance or marketing). Topics studied include artificial intelligence, statistics, policy design, game theory, optimization, blockchain, stated choice experiments, fraud detection and machine learning. As data science and artificial intelligence increasingly plays a larger role in business and economics, thanks to the wide range of expertise available at DAD, we are uniquely positioned to undertake the kind of interdisciplinary research that this development calls for.
DAD currently consists of about 10 (assistant and associate) professors, 5 lecturers and 15 PhD students. You can see the list of staff here. A list of (recent) academic publications is available in the Pure system.
