Dr habil. Tayssir Hamieh, Ph.D. (T.H.)

Hamieh T completed his first PhD in Physical Chemistry (1985), his HDR (1996) and obtained in 2001 his second Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Haute-Alsace. He is now adjunct professor at the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Maastricht University. He published over 250 international publications that have been cited over 3000 times, his publication H-index is 28 and has been serving as an editorial board member and reviewer of reputed Journals. He supervised and co-supervised more than 30 PHD and 60 master theses. He also served on many academic, administrative responsibilities, chairperson and editor of many conferences on Materials Sciences; His skills and expertise cover large domain of physical chemistry of materials and nanomaterials, surfaces and interfaces, colloidal dispersions and adhesion sciences.

2008 to 2014: Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Veterinary Medicine at Lebanese University.
2003: Awarded fellowship for Invited Professor for two months accorded by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research in the Laboratory of Catalysis and Organic Chemistry at the Higher National School of Engineers of Poitiers.
1999-2019: Director of the Research Laboratory on Materials, Catalysis, Environment and Analytical Chemistry (MCEMA) and Director of the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry, Materials, Surfaces and Interfaces (CHAMSI) in the Faculty of Sciences at Lebanese University.
1998: January 1st 1998 to July 1st 1998: Awarded fellowship for Visiting Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Alberta, Canada, in the laboratory of Professor Dongqing Li (Sabbatical semester).
1996-2019: Full Professor in Physical Chemistry and Materials at Lebanese University
1990- 2002: Full Professor of Chemistry of Materials and Physical Chemistry at UHA and Researcher in Physical Chemistry of Materials, Surfaces and Interfaces at ICSI-CNRS of Mulhouse, France.
1985 to1990: Associate Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Tebessa University in Algeria.
1983 to 1990: Researcher in the French National Centre for Scientific Research of Mulhouse, France in the laboratories of Prof. Jean-Baptiste Donnet, Prof. Bernard Siffert and Prof. Jacques Schultz
1982 to 1983: Researcher in the National Centre of Telecommunication Studies and the University of Grenoble.
1997- 2019: Legal Representative and Project Officer for more than 20 scientific research projects.
2008- 2012: Coordinator of Research Master (M.S) Formation in Physical Chemistry, Material Sciences and Catalysis
2006 to 2009: Coordinator of the Central Commission for the Scientific Research at LU.

1994 to present: Coordinator of the collaboration between the Lebanese University and the Haute-Alsace University and University of Lorraine.
1992 to present: Supervisor and co-supervisor of more than 50 Ph.D. and 60 M.S theses in the different domains of Physical Chemistry, Materials, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Colloidal dispersions and mathematical modelling.
1994-2019: Responsible, Coordinator or Legal Representative of More than 30 Memorandums of Understanding, Agreements and Contracts of collaboration between the Lebanese University and other International Public or private Universities, Institutions, Research Laboratories and Civil or Public associations.
