Elisa Verwey (E.C.)

After almost a decade working in the Accounting and Financial Services industry, in September 2019, Elisa joined the Accounting and Information Management (AIM) department, at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.

Elisa's industry experience includes several different roles, and in numerous jurisdictions (the Netherlands, Philippines, Luxembourg, Curacao, New Zealand). The roles included being client-facing and in-house, external reporting focused and internal processes orientated, cross-departmental, and with both a local and international outlook.  

In 2013, Elisa obtained a professional qualification, gaining full membership as a Chartered Accountant, with Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ).

Her University degree was completed in 2009 at the University of Waikato, New Zealand, and complemented by exchanges to both Maastricht University, the Netherlands, and the University of California, Santa Barbara, United States of America.
