Programme Information

During the 3-week internship period, each intern will work on a research project under the guidance of Maastricht Law and Tech Lab members.

What we offer:

  • Skills in research, writing, and communication: In the rapidly evolving field of law and technology, the ability to effectively write and present ideas is essential for success. Professionals in this field must be able to communicate complex legal and technical concepts clearly, both in written form and when presenting to diverse audiences. Whether advocating for policy changes, drafting legal documents, or delivering research findings, strong writing and presentation skills are critical for influencing decisions and driving innovation.

Through structured workshops, regular feedback, and hands-on experience, interns will strengthen their legal research, writing, and presentation abilities.

  • Hands-on research at the intersection of law & technology: Technology is changing the way we analyze the law, apply rules, and even draft new regulations. This internship gives you a unique insight into how technology is impacting law and empowers you to leverage technology in your legal studies and future professions.
  • Mentoring activities and supportive network: During your internship, you will work closely with researchers at the Law & Tech Lab and become part of a vibrant community of peers interested in understanding how technology is and can shape law and policy making. This community will enrich your academic studies and support you in your future endeavors (e.g., through thesis supervision, reference letters, and network).
