Waves towards harmony - learning to collaborate in healthcare across borders
Samenwerking over de grens tussen verschillende zorgprofessionals en instellingen kan rekenen op brede instemming. De praktijk is evenwel lastiger. Investeren in communicatie, persoonlijke ontmoetingen en een gedeeld besef van de onderlinge verschillen, kan een deel van de oplossing zijn.
This is the conclusion of Juliët Beuken in her PhD research into cross-border care in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine border region, with approximately 3.9 million German, Belgian and Dutch inhabitants.
Beuken conducted research among healthcare professionals (43), experts (11) and patients (8). She also participated in a workshop for 16 trainees.
