National Hereditary Heart Disease Day at Maastricht UMC+
On Saturday 3 October, Maastricht UMC+ will host a National Hereditary Heart Disease Day in collaboration with De Hart & Vaatgroep. The event is open to the public (free admission) and specifically geared towards people with a hereditary predisposition for congenital heart disease. The event will include lectures by several experts in the field of cardiology and clinical genetics. Participants can also join workshops and pose questions to the experts.
How do I know if I am genetically inclined to develop heart disease? How is this tested? What about my kids? Do they have a higher risk? These are just a few of the questions asked by people who are more likely to develop hereditary heart conditions. During the information session, the Maastricht experts will answers these questions and discuss a variety of other topics in the form of lectures, interactive workshops and question-and-answer sessions.

Maastricht UMC+ is a centre of excellence for cardiogenetics, accredited by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
