Complex rehabilitation technology: Bridging the gap between research, technology and experience
In rehabilitation many novel technology innovations do not mature and are not implemented in rehabilitative care. These technologies could however facilitate increases in training frequency and intensity, assist the patient in home-training, or just offer support in daily life. The Euregional network I2-CoRT is bridging this gap between healthcare, rehabilitation technology innovation and knowledge with the support of the Interreg V-A Euregion Meuse-Rhine programme (www.i2-CoRT.eu).
The project partners kindly invite you to an online symposium on the complex world of rehabilitation technology in clinical practice. Keynote speaker Carmen LaPlaza Santos, Deputy Head of the Health Innovations Unit, DG Research & Innovation of the European Commission will guide us through future European research and funding opportunities for rehabilitation. In addition, rehabilitation specialists, innovation experts such as Tom Braekeleirs from BlueHealth Innovation Center, and 4 companies will present their ideas/solutions in rehabilitation technology.
