He has extensive teaching experience at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level, as well as in executive education programmes. The chair is intended to make an important contribution to the continuity and further growth of the ECPC.
Malgieri will develop and teach courses in AI, privacy, data protection and digital regulation, both within Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes and within the ECPC Advanced Master in Privacy, Cybersecurity and Data Management. In addition, he will develop a leading research agenda on the protection of fundamental rights in AI-mediated and data-driven environments within the EU legal order, with particular attention to vulnerability, power imbalances, risk governance and digital sovereignty. Through interdisciplinary research, collaboration with societal and institutional stakeholders, and knowledge valorisation, he will contribute to policy, regulation and broader societal debates on AI and digital technologies.
