Entrepreneurship & Innovation @ YUFE

YUFE E&I for Students & Professionals

The YUFE Entrepreneurship & Innovation (E&I) programme invites students, staff, and external learners to dive into the world of innovation and new ventures. Participants can develop crucial transversal skills that will drive both their personal and professional growth.

The E&I programme provides various opportunities to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, create innovative projects, and develop startups or solutions to real-world challenges. One of the main strengths of YUFE E&I is its dynamic international, diverse, and inclusive ecosystem.

Educational Offerings

YUFE offers a wide array of activities within its Entrepreneurship & Innovation programme, ensuring there’s something for everyone, no matter where you are on your academic or professional journey. Whether you’re ready to take on a long-term project or looking for a more flexible commitment, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

For those seeking an immersive experience, there are structured programmes like the Challenge Teams, YUFE Ideas Lab, and Intrapreneurship Contest. Alternatively, you can customise your participation by taking part in shorter activities such as MOOCs, Talk Shows, or the YUFETHON, and easily integrate them into your schedule.

Challenge Teams (60 hours – online)

In this 3-month online challenge, participants tackle current and future social, scientific, or technological issues by developing innovative solutions. You’ll be guided by experts in cutting-edge methodologies like design thinking and Agile, gaining valuable experience while honing your soft skills in a multicultural and international environment.

Entrepreneurship Training Programme

Enhance your skills in social, economic, and cultural arenas with our flexible training options. You can choose individual activities such as MOOCs, Talk Shows, or the YUFETHON (a two-day competition where participants collaborate to solve a specific challenge) without the commitment of a long-term programme.

Ideas Lab

This semester-long programme supports participants in developing their business or social venture ideas. It offers international mentoring and can culminate in a week of on-site activities, including a pitch competition. In a recent edition, 25 students from five universities visited Madrid and attended the South Summit, an annual global gathering of entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators.

Intrapreneurship Contest

In this online competition, participants propose innovative solutions to real YUFE challenges. These ideas are presented to a jury, and selected concepts are further developed over four months. Participants have the chance to see their solutions implemented and even use their work as part of their bachelor's or master's thesis.
