Dr. Marla Hahnraths received the BSc in Nutrition and Health from Wageningen University and the MSc in Health Education and Promotion from Maastricht University. Between 2019-2023, she studied the implementation and effectiveness of the scaled-up Healthy Primary School of the Future intervention as part of her PhD at Maastricht University. Since 2024, she continues her research as assistant professor at Maastricht University.
Her interest and expertise are mainly in the field of school-based health promotion and implementation, adaptation, and scale-up of effective interventions to a real-world context. She combines her work at Maastricht University with a role as implementation specialist at JOGG, where she continues working on scaling-up the Healthy Primary School of the Future. In both roles, she aims to stimulate and facilitate the formation of healthy lifestyle behaviours in children by integrating effective and context-sensitive health promotion in every school context.
