Kevin van Abswoude (K.S.A.)
Kevin van Abswoude is a lecturer/PhD researcher at the Faculty of Law of Maastricht University. His expertise is in indirect taxation, particularly EU VAT and customs law. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ad van Doesum and Dr. Frank Nellen, Kevin is conducting research on the division of rights and responsibilities in EU VAT and customs law between supply chain participants.
Between 2017 and 2020, Kevin obtained a B.Sc. in Fiscal Economics at the School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University. Subsequently, he continued his studies at the Faculty of Law and graduated from the LL.M. programme in Tax Law, with a specialisation in indirect taxation. In 2022, Kevin finished his studies with a M.Sc. European and International Tax Law at Lund University, Sweden, again specialising in indirect taxation.
Since July 2022, Kevin has been committed to the Tax Law Department at the Faculty of Law. As lecturer/PhD researcher, he devotes half of his time to educational activities, including teaching tutorials, giving lectures and supervising theses. The remaining 50% of his time is devoted to research, during which Kevin writes a PhD dissertation and publishes academic articles.
