Dr J.M. de Nooijer

Jascha de Nooijer, PhD, Professor in Interprofessional Teaching and Learning, is Director of Education for Health (Education Office, Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML), Maastricht University (since 2016). She has a background in Health Promotion and Health Professions Education. To combine these two fields of expertise, her research focuses on interprofessional education, preferably in relation to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. She participates in the School of Health Professions Education (SHE).

Expertise

Jascha de Nooijer has graduated (2011-2013) MA Health Professions Education, Maastricht University, with distinction (cum laude). She received two Leading in Learning grants for the development of an innovative method of applying theory in practice and did a pilot with regard to interprofessional education. The latter is the topic Jascha de Nooijer is currently working on. Finally, she is a member of the Platform Internationalisation, she supervises a PhD student doing research on international online collaboration, and she is coordinator for FHML for the excellency programme for master’s students.

Professional career history

Before that, Jascha de Nooijer was Director of Programme of the master in Health Education and Promotion (2011-2016). This programme is accredited by the European Health Promotion Accreditation System of the International Union of Health Promotion and Education (besides the usual NVAO accreditation). Jascha de Nooijer was also coordinator of education at the Department of Health Promotion and member of planning groups in other programs. Furthermore Jascha de Nooijer was involved in the development of different courses.
