9 December - Symposium in Brussels.
Hosted by the Elverding Chair on Responsible Business, Culture, and Corporate Regulation, this symposium explores the changing role of shareholders in shaping corporate behavior and addressing societal challenges. Bringing together leading academics and practitioners, the program examines the power, limitations, and responsibilities of shareholders, the future of investor democracy, and the survival probability of the stakeholder model.
Together, these discussions highlight the opportunities and challenges of promoting responsible business in an evolving regulatory and societal landscape.
Confirmed speakers include prof. dr. Anne Lafarre, prof. mr. Mieke Olaerts, Jon Lukomnik, and prof. dr. Rob Bauer.

2025
10 November 2025 - ICGI and the Elverding Chair organised a roundtable with experts. The reason for this event was the WODC report previously written by members of the ICGI, which contained an evaluation of Dutch legislation regarding protection mechanisms against hostile takeovers (the reflection period). The roundtable took place in Amsterdam at Loyens Loeff.
Main topics for discussion during the roundtable were the Dutch stakeholder system, the protection of Dutch listed companies against takeovers in general, and the reflection period, more in particular. I
