Career history
Ellen Vos is professor of EU law. She is co-director of the Maastricht Centre for European Law. She is visiting proferssor at the College of Europe, Bruges.
She is member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Risk Regulation and of the Advisory Board of the Maastricht Journal of European and Comparative Law.
Ellen Vos studied law at the Universities of Utrecht and Bologna. She was a trainee at the European Commission, the European Consumer Organisation and the European Court of Justice. She wrote and obtained her Ph.D. in Law at the European University Institute in Florence. She was a Jean Monnet fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre of the European University Institute (Florence). From September 2001 until September 2005 she served as the Director of the advanced master programme in comparative, European and International law, Magister Iuris Communis programme of the Law Faculty of the Maastricht University. From 2015 to 2018 she was co-director of the Centre for European Research in Maastricht (CERiM).
