Why this programme

Information technology is rapidly changing our world, with digital information pervading our entire society. IT and digital information are increasingly important business resources for making decisions and developing strategies. The Information Management & Business Intelligence programme is about the role information plays in the productivity and competitiveness of today’s companies, and how it can be strategically managed and integrated into business processes. The programme focuses on real-life cases and builds practical skills in data management and modelling that are vital to staying ahead of the competition.

Student profile

Information Management & Business Intelligence revolves around solving problems with data. You should be interested in new information technologies and in business modelling, quantitative reasoning, strategic decision-making and value generation. You should also have excellent communication skills, to operate in international teams during the programme and for your future role of information manager as a bridge-builder between IT and management. You should be an adaptive and independent thinker. A business degree and/or a technical background are desirable, but not required as relevant programming skills are developed as part of the programme when needed.

Dual Degree programme

The Dual Degree programme at the School of Business and Economics allows you to study at two universities and earn two master's degrees! You can participate at the beginning of the academic year in September, studying part of your master's degree at an institution abroad and part at the SBE. Once you have met all the requirements of both master's programmes, you will receive a degree from each university. Almost all Dual Degree programs can be completed with little or no study delay and with minimal additional costs. The Dual Degree programme has carefully selected partner universities that are highly respected, research-oriented and preferably accredited by both EQUIS and AACSB.

Global Innovation Challenge 

The Global Innovation Challenge (GIC) offers MSc. International Business students a new opportunity to study in an international environment and gain practical experience with companies. The School of Business and Economics offers this excellence program as a project-based course in which international master's students work as external consultants on a business challenge of a particular company or business unit that requires innovation and transformational approaches.
