About the UM Guesthouse
Looking for a fully furnished room in Maastricht within an international student community?
The UM Guesthouse offers around 900 rooms and studios, located across several locations in the city.
It is a short-stay accommodation option that allows you to arrange housing before your arrival, helping you settle in more easily when you first come to Maastricht.
Who is it for?
The UM Guesthouse is especially suitable for:
- Exchange students
- Summer school participants
- Bachelor’s and master’s students who prefer to arrange temporary accommodation in advance
It is also a practical option if you are new to the Netherlands and would like time to get familiar with the city and the Dutch housing system before finding long-term accommodation.
Length of stay
The minimum length of stay depends on your study programme and start date:
- Exchange students arriving in August/September or January/February can stay for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months.
- Bachelor’s and master’s students starting in August/September stay for a minimum of 11 months and a maximum of 12 months.
- Bachelor’s and master’s students starting in January/February stay for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months.
Outside these regular intake periods, shorter stays may also be available, depending on availability.
