Drs A.M.C. van Doorn

Anna van Doorn is a PhD candidate in the JEDi project (Youth and Digitalization) and works at Maastricht University. Her research focuses on the relationship between digital media and the cognitive development of young adolescents. Specifically, she investigates how problematic social media use and intensive social media use affect executive functions, such as attention, inhibition, and working memory.

With both a research and clinical master's degree in Pedagogy, Anna has developed a passion for understanding the impact of digital media on youth development, both positive and negative. Her goal is to gain knowledge that is practical and provides insights for young people, their parents, and schools.
