Mr Sylvie-Anne Veelenturf (S.)
Sylvie-Anne Veelenturf is a PhD-researcher in the Department of Tax Law, at the Faculty of Law Maastricht University, since 1 August 2025. Her research focuses on the implications of the use of the fiscal-legal concept of income and wealth for social security law.
She conducts her research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mr. Raymond Luja and Dr. Nadine Gorissen. Within the bachelor's programme in Tax Law, she is also responsible for teaching Dutch Procedural Tax Law, supervising bachelor theses, and contributing to the further development of the course Foundations and Methods of Tax Law.
Sylvie-Anne Veelenturf obtained her bachelor's degrees in Dutch Law and Tax Law at Leiden University. She also holds a propaedeutic diploma in Fiscal Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. In addition, she completed two master's degrees: Encyclopaedia and Philosophy of Law at Leiden University and Tax Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. During her master's studies, she has been the student assistant to Prof. Dr. Mr. Frank Pötgens.
