Arman Rouhani, PhD (A.)
I am an Optimization & Decision Support Specialist with a PhD in Operations Research (OR). My research focuses on the design and analysis of optimization algorithms for challenging scheduling and allocation problems motivated by real-world applications. I am particularly interested in applied optimization problems such as resource allocation, supply chain management, and transportation.
I enjoy working on mathematical models that capture the structure of these complex problems and on turning them into solutions that can be implemented and maintained. I have hands-on experience developing software and data pipelines that support optimization models and make them useful in practice.
I am currently working as a Lecturer at Maastricht University, and I like explaining complex quantitative ideas in a way that is clear, practical, and useful for different audiences.
