R. Tari

I am a PhD candidate at the Maastricht Law and Tech Lab at Maastricht University. I am part of the CoCoDa project, an international collaboration between Maastricht University, the University of St Gallen, the University of Lausanne, and the Open Data Institute.

My research focuses on developing technical and legal methods to measure and mitigate systemic risks in the mobile app ecosystem, in particular risks to privacy and mental wellbeing. I study emerging technologies and trends such as smart accessories and AI assistants, and how they shape user behavior and data practices.

I hold a Master’s degree in Data Science from Maastricht University. Before returning to academia, I spent several years working in the telecommunications industry.
