[Cancelled] Workshop: Declutter your course!

Using frameworks such as good-old Constructive Alignment, the UM vision on assessment, self-determination theory and the CCCS principles, but also new influences on education such as Universal Design for Learning and grappling with Generative AI, this workshop aims to support course coordinators to figure out what aspects of the course need to be freshened up or decluttered. By sharing your questions, concerns and solutions this workshop is highly collaborative in nature.

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

• have reconsidered the constructive alignment of the course they coordinate,
• have an idea which “old”/unnecessary course materials or readings from the course they coordinate have to be removed or replaced,
• have a plan for further refinement of the course they coordinate for the long term.
   

Who should attend: course coordinators or members of a course planning group.

Important: please bring your course materials (e.g. course manual, instructions, assignments, …) to the workshop.

About the trainer/moderator
Eveline Persoon (EDLAB) is passionate about teaching, learning, psychology, and vintage teacups. Since 2016, she has taught and coordinated psychology courses at UM, later expanding to facilitate professional development in teaching and learning at UM and EDLAB. Constantly refining her courses, Eveline is now eager to share her best and worst practices with colleagues.
