Amsterdamska prize awarded to Anna Harris’s and John Nott’s book
The book, Making Sense of Medicine: Material Culture and the Reproduction of Medical Knowledge, edited by John Nott (former postdoc at FASoS) and Anna Harris has been awarded the Amsterdamska prize.
The award is given yearly by EASST (European Association for the Study of Science & Technology) to ‘a significant creative collaboration in an edited book or special issue in the broad field of STS'.
The jury applauds the book for its “original exploration into the materiality of medical knowledge reproduction. This book, structured around diverse themes such as art, labour, and place, stands out as a vital contribution to the field.”
The book was written as part of the ERC Making Clinical Sense project.
