Challenges of Scope 3 GHG emissions and Smallholder Farmers
FSD hybrid workshop: Avoiding Carbon Colonialism
Thursday, 25 May 2023, the fourth Fair and Smart Data (FSD) hybrid event was held with the following speakers:
- Franka Lakeman: Manager Supply Chain Decarbonization at Ahold Delhaize
- Isabel van Bemmelen: Head of Insetting at Rabobank's Acorn
The speakers both addressed the challenges of supply chain emission reduction and the relationship with smallholder farmers at the beginning of the chain.
Following the World Café approach, participants explored related aspects such as fairness, transparency and double counting in subsequent breakout sessions. Results were summarized in plenary and provided input for further research and potential collaboration.
