Applicable deadlines for objection, appeal or complaint
It is important that you file an objection, appeal or complaint to the Complaints Service Point (CSP) on time. If you do not do this, your objection, appeal or complaint will be declared inadmissible.

File an objection or appeal within six weeks
You must file your objection or appeal within six weeks after the date on which the decision that you do not agree with was sent. Is the period of six weeks too short to submit a sufficiently reasoned objection or appeal? Then ensure at the very least that within six weeks after the date on which the decision was sent, you file a “pro forma” objection or appeal.
In a pro forma objection or appeal you briefly state that you do not agree with a certain decision and that in a later email you will provide the reasons for the objection or appeal. After that you will be informed by the Advisory Committee for Student Affairs (AC) or the Board of Appeal for Examinations (CBE) about how much time you have for this.

If you file an objection or appeal too late
Did you not file either a pro forma or a standard objection or appeal with the CSP within six weeks? Then you have probably forfeited your right to object or appeal.
The AC, on behalf of the Executive Board, or the Board of Appeal for Examinations will declare your objection or appeal inadmissible and your case will not be processed. So be sure to meet the deadline!
File a complaint within one or three years
Complaints about undesirable behaviour must be filed within three years after the behaviour occurred. Complaints about sexual intimidation do not have a limitation period.
Other complaints must be filed within one year.
