In Memoriam Stephanie Jordan
We are all deeply touched by the death of Stephanie Jordan. Stephanie, who came from Ireland, was a master’s student Healthcare Policy, Innovation and Management (HPIM). After studying radiography at University College Dublin and working as a Senior Radiographer in Our Lady's Children Hospital in Crumlin, Ireland, she started her master's programme in September 2017.
She got off to a flying start and immediately scored high marks in her first courses. We have got to know her as a friendly, diligent, determined, open and helpful student, who impressed both her fellow students and her lecturers, tutors and trainers. In December 2017, right after she was told that a few months later she would do an interesting and educational placement at Philips Healthcare, the terrible news came that she was ill. Not very much later it became clear that she would not recover.
Unfortunately Stephanie was not given time to further shape her future. She passed away on 11 May 2018. Stephanie was only 30 years old. She had to say goodbye in the prime of her life. A beautiful flower that did not get to bloom into full blossom. We are deeply saddened and will miss Stephanie dearly.
We wish her husband Colm, her parents, brothers and sisters, other family members and friends much strength in coping with this enormous loss.
On behalf of the staff members and students of the master Healthcare Policy, Innovation and Management,
Dr. Aggie Paulus
Programme Director master HPIM
