The inclusive equality and the human rights model of disability
Interview Prof. Theresia Degener
On 3 December 2018, Prof. Degener gave the annual Theo van Boven lecture at Maastricht University Faculty of Law on ‘The inclusive equality and the human rights model of disability – 10 years jurisprudence of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities’. Before the start of her lecture, prof. Degener was interviewed about her work as chairperson of this committee. Prof. Degener is professor of Law and Disability Studies at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Bochum, Germany and Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Maastricht, The Netherlands.
