N.K. Kimilu
Nicholas Kangethe Kimilu is a PhD candidate at the Maastricht Sustainability institute of Maastricht University. As part of the project ACT! (Accelerating the Circular Transition) in Netherlands, he is working with a diverse, interdisciplinary team co-creating tools for systemic change, engaging with stakeholders from government, industry, and civil society to co-develop circular value chains through innovative business models.
A key objective of his research is to explore how new interlocking, sustainable and circular business models transform value chains and contribute to just, systemic transitions.
Nicholas was Born and raised in Kenya. He Immigrated to Scotland for postgraduate education and completed his MSc in Social Innovation at Glasgow Caledonian University, where his master’s research focused on exploring the conceptualisation of social value in Scotland’s third sector. He is passionate about social innovation and sustainability, with a keen interest in environmental sustainability, economic development, and community well-being.
