Virtual Human Platform officially launched

On 28 May 2026, the Virtual Human Platform was officially launched, marking a proud milestone after five years of work within the VHP4Safety project. The platform is now online (platform.vhp4safety.nl) and available, bringing together tools, data and workflows that support human-relevant, animal-free safety assessment of chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

TGX has made major contributions to the platform, including the main platform backend and interface, as well as several tools and services such as R-ODAF, AOP-Wiki RDF, ToxTempAssistant, the AOP Suite, and many more. During the launch event, colleagues from TGX pitched tools, demonstrated platform functionalities and contributed to parallel sessions.

The work reflects the efforts of many current and former colleagues, including Egon Willighagen, Ozan Cinar, Marvin Martens, Saad Lodhi, Danyel Jennen, Abhishek Chattophadyay, Jente Houweling, Javier Millan Acosta, Chris Evelo, Youp Hendriks-Vettehen, Tooba Abbassi Daloii, Shakira Agata, and Mirthe Klaassen. The event was full of enthusiasm and showed how much has been achieved together.
