Temporary appointments of rector and Executive Board chair extended
The Maastricht University Supervisory Board has decided to extend the temporary appointments of Executive Board chair Pamela Habibović and rector magnificus Jan Smits. The process of appointing a new chair is taking longer than anticipated. With their agreement, the Supervisory Board has therefore extended the appointments of both board members until 1 March 2027. Together with vice-chair Jan-Tjitte Meindersma, this means that the Executive Board will continue to operate at full strength from 1 September onwards.
