Successful Bachelor's Open Day

Last Saturday Maastricht University welcomed over 3,000 prospective students and their parents/guardians to the Bachelor's Open Day.

From 10:00 to 17:00 visitors could attend hourly information sessions on our bachelor’s programmes and our education model Problem-Based Learning. Prospective students could join demonstrations - and in many cases participate - in Moot Court sessions, Research-Based Learning workshops, Researchlab demos and Skillslab trainings.

Information fairs
Visitors could also drop by the information markets at the faculties and the Student Services Centre (SSC). At the international information fair at SSC, students, alumni and UM staff answered questions about the study programmes, career prospects, study financing and visas, and shared stories about international student life in Maastricht.

Student Room Escape, photo booth and a time machine
New to this edition of the Bachelor’s Open Day was the Student Room Escape at the Faculty of Health Medicine and Life sciences, where prospective students were able to experience firsthand how busy and fun student life can be. At SSC prospective students could use the Green Screen Photo booth to picture themselves as an exchange student or intern in any city worldwide, while the photo booth at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences allowed prospective students to imagine themselves as the person they expect to be ten or twenty years from now!

There was also time for relaxation at the School of Business and Economics lounge, where visitors could take a break and reflect on their experiences, or play a game of pool.
