Prevent it - mutual learning from European and Indian universities
The second consortium meeting of our new Erasmus+ project “Prevent it” took place in Maastricht from September 2nd - September 6th, 2019. More than 20 colleagues, mainly from Indian universities and NGOs, met at the Maastricht University for one week to develop curricula to educate about the risks and prevention approaches of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
The European Commission funded this three year project for mutual learning from European and Indian universities and other providers of health education. Helmut Brand, Anita Creusen and Peter Schröder-Bäck hosted the group. With several inputs, they were also supported by colleagues from the CAPHRI Research Line “Inequity, Participation and Globalisation” and the School of Health Professions Education (SHE). Before the next consortium meeting (early 2020 at the University of Milan, Italy) the group is now refining the curricula and from next year on the implementation of related teaching activities in India is on the agenda.
