New Scholarship Opportunity: Rachel and Alan Wyatt STS Scholarship
We are delighted to announce the establishment of the Rachel and Alan Wyatt STS Scholarship, a new initiative to support students wishing to pursue a master’s degree in Science and Technology Studies (STS). This scholarship has been set up by Sally Wyatt, Professor of Digital Cultures at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS), in memory of her parents, Rachel and Alan Wyatt.
The scholarship aims to provide talented students who face social and financial challenges with the opportunity to further their education. Sally Wyatt, who received immense support from her parents throughout her own educational journey, wishes to give back by helping the next generation of students access equal opportunities in society.
About Sally Wyatt
Sally Wyatt has an extensive academic background, having initially studied economics at McGill University, Canada, and Sussex University, UK. She earned her PhD in Science and Technology Studies (STS) from Maastricht University in 1998 and moved to the Netherlands in 1999. She joined FASoS in 2008, where her research has focused on the development and impact of digital technologies in the modern world. To learn more about her work, visit sallywyatt.nl.
