Meet the Maastricht Centre for Human Rights
On 8 December, the Meet the Maastricht Centre for Human Rights event took place. During this event, we highlighted the main strands of research within the Centre, with members presenting their respective research lines.
Professor Fons Coomans explained the genealogy of the Maastricht Principles on the Human Rights of Future Generations, adopted in 2023. Professor Lisa Waddington introduced the book she edited, The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Practice: A Comparative Analysis of the Role of Courts (Oxford University Press). We also highlighted several upcoming events planned for 2026, including the Theo van Boven Annual Lecture.
We would like to thank all staff and students who took time out of their busy exam preparation schedules to attend, engage with, and connect with members of our Centre. We hope to see many of you at our future events.
To stay up to date, we encourage you to follow this page, connect with us on LinkedIn, and regularly check the events calendar on our website.
