Have fun at the Pinkpop Brightlands tent!
This weekend, music lovers can see their favourite artists at the Landgraaf Pinkpop festival on the Brightlands stage. Brightlands is the brand name supporting four campuses in Limburg that jointly focus on developing innovations in sustainability and health. Maastricht University is an important partner at these campuses, together with the Province of Limburg.
Brightlands has started a large campaign to enhance brand awareness. The Pinkpop stage is the first outing. Maurice Olivers, Brightlands Communication & Branding: “The time is ripe now to show to the people who live in and outside Limburg that this region does not only offer a lot of opportunities for a career, but is also a great place ground-breaking research and start-ups. We want to engage everyone in the Brightlands journey, by showing inspiring stories about innovation and entrepreneurship.”
Nick Bos, Vice-President Maastricht University, supports the organisation’s goal of increasing brand awareness. “On these Brightlands campuses UM works on sustainable reinforcement of the knowledge infrastructure, together with other knowledge institutes and trade and industry. It gives the Limburg economy a solid basis. We constantly try to translate knowledge into new applications for trade and industry. It is important to show these things to a broader audience and that all starts with brand visibility.”
