Nalan Bastürk (N.)

I am an Associate Professor of Econometrics with a research focus on Bayesian inference and time series modeling. Much of my work develops statistical methods—such as mixture and state space models—that help us understand complex economic dynamics. I also enjoy collaborating across disciplines, applying Bayesian approaches and time series analysis to a variety of real-world problems.

Beyond research and teaching, I actively contribute to the broader academic community. I serve on the board of ESOBE, was involved with the EFaB section of ISBA in 2020, and regularly review for several IEEE conferences, supporting and advancing research across fields.
