In an exciting eco-friendly giveaway, exchange students were invited to participate in the Sustainable Challenge for a chance to win a pair of AirPods. By completing five out of six green tasks—ranging from using digital tickets to shopping second-hand—participants shared their sustainable journeys via photos. Thanks to all who joined the challenge, and now meet the lucky winner!
"I’m Elise, and I recently completed the requirements for the double-track master’s in Strategic Corporate Finance and Sustainable Finance. Right now, I’m doing an internship in Brussels at Cartier Belgium, where I get to apply many of the concepts I learned during my master’s.
Life in Brussels is exciting—there’s always something to do on the weekends, and the city is full of amazing local businesses. It’s also quite easy to live sustainably, with plenty of zero-waste shops, local restaurants, and many places accessible by foot. Plus, the train system makes it easy to explore beautiful nearby destinations.
Brussels is a true international hub—something I feared I would miss after leaving Maastricht. However, I’ve been fortunate to meet incredible people and discover new cultures, which has made my experience here even more enriching."
